NISSAN JUKE-R - THE SUPERCAR DESTROYER!

The crazy crossover from Nissan raced a Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4, a Ferrari 458 & a Mercedes SLS... all insane in thier own way... but not as insane as the Juke-R... quite clearly proved in this video.

This race took place as a demo during the recent Dubai 24 hour event. The win for the Juke-R comes as no surprise as it inherits a lot of DNA from its big brother... the incredible GT-R. However, the power has been limited to 485bhp and a top speed of 160mph. Couple that with four-wheel drive... you get a 0-60mph times of 3.7 seconds.

Lamborghini will NOT go turbo!

Lamborghini has ruled out the possibility of going turbo... for now!

In an interview... Stephen Winkelmann confirmed that Lamborghini will not use turbocharged engines for another few years. But the latest stringent fuel & emissions regulations may win the war against Lamborghini's persistence again the world of turbocharging.

Now bare in mind... Lamborghini are about to unveil two new models at the upcoming Geneva motorshow. Maybe they can pickup some inspiration from other manufacturers. But do they really need it...? Hmmm.

Bugatti extends contract with Ricardo

Buggati have extended their contract with Ricardo for another 2 years to supply the dual-clutch transmission for the Veyron... according to an agreement between the two companies. This gives Bugatti a green light to possibly extend the production of the Super Sport (even though there are only another 45 scheduled to be made) or even the Super Grand Sport.

Maybe Bugatti can use that for the 16C Galibier too...?

Mercedes SLS GT3 Production Video

This video shows "The Marriage" of the engine to the car of the GT3 version of the insane SLS. This is the first part of the video Mercedes has released showing the power train assembly. Power comes from a 6.3ltr AMG V8 engine.

PAGANI ZONDA F DESTROYED IN CHINA

Thanks to its raw beauty, crushing performance and exclusivity, the Pagani Zonda is arguably one of the most beloved supercars ever to be built. So whenever one has a near-death experience or worse, makes it to Zonda heaven, the reaction from car enthusiasts is always one of bereavement.

Today we have news of a Zonda F… allegedly owned by one of the top execs at Dolce & Gabbana Hong Kong, that took itself out near Tsim Sha Tsui.

Local news are reporting the driver lost control of the vehicle colliding with a tree and then into a traffic light. The driver was not injured.

Looking at the photos we can see serious front and rear end damage with torn suspension and dangling wheels but it’s hard to see if there is any major structural damage to the carbon fiber monocoque. News reports have already said the vehicle is not a total loss.

2013 Porsche 911 to feature tri-turbo

According to a new report, BMW isn't the only one messing around with tri-turbo systems. The Porsche 911 Turbo currently employs a 3.8-liter, horizontally opposed six-cylinder engine with a twin-turbo, but according to a report by Autocar they are set to upgrade it to a tri-turbo induction system.

Details of the complex system were revealed in patent applications by the sports car maker. It uses three separate turbochargers, two of which work similar to the twin-turbo units in current models whilst the third is mounted close to the engine to boost response at lower speeds.

It will allow the Porsche 911 Turbo to boost its raw power output to 525bhp ( 391 kW / 532 PS ) and we could then expect the higher performing Turbo S to pump out more than 550bhp ( 410 kW / 557 PS ). Following its successful introduction, the same system is expected to be spread to the 911 GT2 and 911 GT2 RS.

Porsche are reportedly entering the final stages of development for the system which has been kept well hidden inside the 911 Turbo prototypes you see pictures in this article.
